Sarah E. Smith, 28, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010, in her home. Born to Cindy Phelps of Bellefontaine November 25, 1981, Ms. Smith was a loving mother of a ten year-old son Dartanian Irwin.

She is also survived by her boyfriend of six years, Brian Mees; two sisters, Heidi Smith of Bellefontaine and Brandi (Stephen) Knight of Waynesfield, Ohio; a brother, Justin Smith of Bellefontaine; nephews, Austin Allen, Nathan Dickinson and Payton Knight; nieces, Courtney Knight and Kristen Stanton; a grandmother, Betty Jane Weddle of Lima, Ohio; an uncle, John (Michele) Weddle of Jackson Center, Ohio; and cousins, Kella and Nicole.

She was employed at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine in environmental services. She loved canoeing, camping, cooking out and her dog Buster. She was an avid reader, especially of the Twilight series.

A memorial service begins at 6 P.M. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine, with Pastor Robin Ricks officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 P.M. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
