| Sarah Ellen Kearfott Sarah Ellen Kearfott, 86, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Green Hills Center in West Liberty. She was born in Marion Township, Hancock County, Ohio, on March 29, 1923, to the Late Clarence C. and Carrie A. Druschel Woodard. On July 14, 1944, she married David Morgan Kearfott in West Liberty and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1997, after 52 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Cyril, Gerald and Donald Woodard. Sarah is survived by two daughters, Sandra K. (Harvey) Downey of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Sherrie A. (Wayne) Cullison of Huntsville, Ohio; a brother, Ernest (Gladys) Woodard of Ft. Myers, Florida; two sisters, Margaret (Luther) Ogg of Norman, Illinois and Marguerite (Roger) Young of Springfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Carrie Downey, Joy (Jason) Williams and Morgan (Sarah) Downey; four great grandchildren, Kayla Snyder, Carson Duncan, Paige & Leeah Williams; sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Woodard of West Liberty, Bertha Woodard of Clinton, Illinois, and Olive Woodard of Bellefontaine; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Sarah retired as a Registered Nurse from Mary Rutan Hospital in December 1983, after 35 plus years of service. She was 1941 Monroe High School graduate and a 1945 Springfield City School of Nursing graduate where she was a member of the Beta Kappa Sigma Phi. Sarah was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, the Bellefontaine Methodist Church Guild, the Bellefontaine American Legion Harold Kerr Post #173, the Ohio Point Nurses Association, Mended Hearts, Indian Lake Community Church Women�s Club, and the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild. Calling hours are Friday, May 29, 2009, from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, where Pastor Edwin Beale will conduct the funeral service beginning at 2:30 P.M. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
