Sylvia K. Watkins, 87, formerly of Walnut Grove, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born February 22, 1923 in Walnut Grove to the late Charles W. and Maude F. (Dodd) Stevens. 

She married Gerald B. Watkins September 9, 1941 in Ridgeway, Ohio, and he preceded her in death September 15, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Mary Lou Watkins; three brothers, Raymond, Gaylord and Charles Stevens; four sisters, Mary McColloch, Dorothy Stevens and two sisters in infancy; and a son-in-law, Carl Trout. 

Surviving is a son, Stephen G. (Bonnie) Watkins of Sidney, Ohio; three daughters, Peggy Trout of St. Paris, Ohio, Bonnie (Donald) Casey of Grove City, Ohio and Jo (Randy) Miller of Walnut Grove; a sister, Martha Long of West Liberty; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. 

Sylvia worked at Hardin Machine in East Liberty, Ohio, and also helped her husband run the family dairy farm. A member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine, Sylvia was a 4-H advisor, and a member of the Ohio and National Holstein Associations. She volunteered at Heartland of Bellefontaine, Logan Acres and Green Hills Care Center. 

Pastor�s Ron Irick and Ray Headings will officiate a graveside service Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Greenwood Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio at 11:30 A.M. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
