Virginia J. McCroskey

Virginia J. McCroskey, 87, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Heartland of Bellefontaine. She was born in Lima, Ohio February 16, 1924, a daughter of the late John Lester and Iona Mae Bennett Johnson. She also was preceded in death by two half-sisters and two grandsons.

Survivors include sons, Alan (Linda) McCroskey of Roanoke, Vriginia, Michael E. McCroskey of Mechanicsville, Virginia, and Richard F. (Kathy) McCroskey of Aylett, Virginia; a daughter, Carolyn Wallace of Colonial Heights, Virginia; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one great-great step grandchild.

A 1942 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, she retired from Murphy Mart and Kroger.

Services will be held at a later date in Virginia.

Arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
