Willetta H. Dixon

Willetta H. Dixon, 62, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went to be with her Lord Sunday, December 6, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Jamestown, Ohio December 5, 1947, to the late Floyd and Margaret (Jacobs) Willis Sr.

On August 22, 1964, she married James Dixon Sr. in Middleburg, Ohio, and he preceded her in death July 7, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Willis.

Surviving are her children, James �Jim� (Melissa) Dixon Jr. and Mark (Julie) Dixon, both of Bellefontaine, Tammy (Bill) Nicholl of West Liberty, Ohio, and Tara (Tom) Doehrman of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Ivan Willis of North Carolina, Floyd Willis Jr. of Norfolk, Virginia; sisters, Annette (Jim) Long of West Liberty, and Colleen Harford of Huntsville, Ohio; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Willetta was employed by the Benjamin Logan Local School district for over thirty years. She graduated in 1965 from Logan Hills High School and was a member of the Goshen Friends Church, where she enjoyed being involved. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2009, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. There will also be a one hour of calling prior to the service Thursday, December 10, 2009, at the Goshen Friends Church in Zanesfield, Ohio, where the funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Fred Kensler officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
