William E. Hudson

William E. Hudson, 66, of Kenton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio December 19, 1943, the son of the late Bernard and Naomi Shipherd Hudson. 

On March 15, 1969 he married Penny L. Porter and she survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Katherine L. (David) Gross of Prospect, Ohio, and Elizabeth (Jim) Baumhackl of Westerville, Ohio; a brother, Robert (Sharon) Hudson of Utica, Michigan; a sister, Myra (Frank) Moir of Mesa, Arizona; special grandsons, David Gross and William �Will� Baumhackl; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

William retired from the Ohio Department of Corrections where he served on the Adult Parole Board. A 1962 graduate of Chargin Falls High School and a graduate of Bowling Green State University, he attended the First United Methodist Church in Kenton, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed pheasant hunting and being outdoors. He had a great sense of humor and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. 

Pastor Peter Paige will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours will be from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, October 27, 2010.  Burial will follow the funeral service in the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hardin County Hospice  15 North Main Street  Kenton, OH 43326 in memory of William.
