William Harold Elliott

William Harold Elliott, 60, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on April 12, 1949 in Logan County, Ohio, to the late Wilbur and Evelyn (Shafer) Elliott. 

On March 8, 2005, he married Lei Xue Elliott in Beijing, China, and she survives. Also surviving is a brother, Gary Elliott of Lakeview, Ohio; 2 sisters, Connie (Bruce) Jenkins of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Le Ann McKee of Bellefontaine; mother-in-law, Zhang Xiu Mei; sister-in-laws, Xue gu jiu, Xue ging and Xue ping; a brother-in-law, Xue ying; and 3 nephews, Li yue, Zho shu and Xue xio ye, all of Beijing, China.

He was a 1968 graduate of the Bellefontaine High School, and The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. A U.S. Navy Veteran, serving 3 tours in the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Bellefontaine American Legion Post #173. He loved to visit China and enjoyed spending time with family.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 P.M. with the American Legion Post #173 conducting the service.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the choice of the donor.
